A catch-all feature that is enabled for a given mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise said, if you disable an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the very same domain name, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you are running a business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited email messages, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filtering software so as to get only real emails in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox easily if you’ve got a shared website hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet remarkably easy to work with, and it will enable you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you will notice a small-size "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking it once more will disable it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have another mailbox with this option enabled or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be configured with a few clicks of the mouse if you have a semi-dedicated plan with us. The hosting account will be administered through our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up email addresses under any domain hosted here. To activate the catch-all option for a given mailbox, you’ll need to click the button with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Deactivating this feature can be achieved in the very same manner and will not take more than a click either. If the catch-all feature has already been enabled for a specific domain name, you’ll receive a warning text message. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never modify or deactivate any feature automatically.
